I found the complete soundtrack available on Youtube and gave it a listen. Amazing score by Joel McNeely IMO, though I read McNeely himself wasn’t happy with the end product and that it’s one of his least favourite works. Myself I disagree, I think it’s a pretty strong score and it’s a real shame the music is now part of the Legends continuity, and I would love McNeely to do more SW music.

Any other fans here?

I own this score on CD ! I think it’s great and they should have had Mcneely score Rogue one . To me he sounds the most like John Williams since …John Williams !

Now that’s a ludicrous notion. Music transcends such petty concepts as “continuity”.

I believe the original, theatrical versions of SW & TESB are great films. Beyond that, I have little in common with the typical
Star Wars fan here. Just a heads-up so you aren’t too taken aback when I say I prefer Dark Empire over Return of the Jedi.

Silly battery man, don’t you know all the music in Star Wars is in-universe and all the characters hear it at all times? It’s the sounds of the Force or something.

Never heard this before … just picked up a used copy on eBay.

In for a treat?

The Shadows of the Empire soundtrack introduced “Dha Werda Verda”, which would later be tied to the Mandalorian species seen in Tales of the Jedi.

If Plagueis shows up in the ST, not only will I refuse to watch the movies, but I won't so much as watch the trailers, either. - DuracellEnergizer

The music cue heard in TFA when Finn, Rey and BB-8 are running from the stormtroopers on Jakku (and heard again when they’re running back to the Falcon with Han and Chewie) always reminded a lot of the SotE score.
