That’s tomarrow, if anyone sees any reports please post.

One of the main guys was to be sentenced on March 6th, but i haven’t been able to find that outcome.
Weird that “Empire of Dreams” is rerunning on AETV tomarrow also…

Who the hell cares? It's not like it hurt Lucas's box office draws!

Besides, without those guys we wouldn't have "Backstroke of the West"!

what a joke for Lucafilms to think these people hurt their box office receipts,

Revenge of the Sith was the top grosser of 2005 and one of the biggest money makers worldwide in film history.

The prequels love 'em or hate 'em made lucas a Billionaire several times over according to the sixty minutes interview from last year.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

Yes...but!

Whether we morally agree with it or not, recording a film and uploading is still contravene to the laws of most countries.

What are they supposed to do? They have to prosecute, there's no choice.

I found Lucasfilm's stance arrogant and self-serving, to be sure, but I understand their anger. The argument that "they still made money, why do theu care" is irrelevant. Thousands of people watched that bootleg with no intention ever of seeing it theatrically. They're making an example out of this guy, and I kind of have to agree with it.

Now, if anything positive comes out of this, I hope that film studios realize that they need to re-evaluate standards and practices. Theatre attendance is down, and I'm convinced it's partially due to the widespread availability of pirated films. There's a whole underground economy at my work where there is someone charging $5 for DVD's of first run films.

Ultimately it hurts us all.

This just in: Murder has been decriminalized across the United States. The new legislation was called for after several studies found that committing murder was unpreventable, and therefore all efforts made to curtail said activity were called "archaic", "Victorian", and "prohibitionist".

IMO, the decline in attendance has less to do with pirated movies than with the fact that Hollywood has alienated a huge # of movie goers who would rather watch old movies at home than go to the theater and pay to see uninspired crap.

Start making good movies again- I'd go to the movies a lot more often...
