This is the thread for what Americans and Canadians call soccer and what foreigners call football. While this thread uses the American name, people from all countries are allowed to post here.

I’m shocked that there wasn’t a single soccer thread other than World Cup stuff.

You mean the sport which near-on everywhere else on the planet calls football? 😃

Well, this is insensitive. To them, we’re the foreigners. How dare you be so ethnocentric! I’ll have to kick your balls for that!

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit.

If this were American football, you would have threatened me with a concussion.

‘Chapecoense plane crash: How the club is still defying the odds one year on’…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42137506

Chapecoense will likely finish somewhere between 9th and 13th in the 20-team Brazil Serie A - with 1 league match remaining.

It’s a fantastic sporting achievement against the background of such loss and emotion - and will hopefully give some small solace or aid to the local community and those affected by the events of one year ago.
