So do we have a release date on this? I have the movie on Bluray but because I am so young I have only ever seen a few episodes on TV.  I really can't wait to see this on DvD,any idea when it will be out?

As Batman turns 75 this year, the odds are good it will be out in time for the holidays. It's too big an anniversary to miss.

Thank goodness our caped crusaders are still around to contribute to the extras.

This is one of those we never expected. HD would be a must as the materials have been sitting there untouched. It also means I can finally dump my TVLand and other capped cut episodes.

Just incredible.

Now that Fox and WB sorted this out what are the odds Fox and Disney sort things out over the original star wars trilogy, probably not good.

Anyway the tv show airs on some standard def channel and cut to fit commercials.  The same channel that claims it runs the original star trek, but shows the remastered in spectacular standard def with bad cgi replacing the models.  And not uncut the episodes are cut for time.  MEtv Boston laughable station.

Surprised i don't have to track down a crt tv and rabbit ears.

It's possible Paramount only offers the remastered episodes for syndication these days. Syndication sales were one driving motivation for the remaster. (And those running the station don't know the difference anyway.) I imagine the original SD TNG episodes will eventually vanish whenever Sci Fi's option on them run out.

An old tube set isn't going to be much good to you without a outboard digital converter box in 2014. ;)

Update related:
An Adam West hosted promo for the DVDs is happening tonight or early next morning depending on your perspective of things. I stumbled across it last night. I didn't expect that they'd have Adam West hosting it because it's listed in the same way as a paid program is. But he is hosting it and it's on WGN at 4am titled "BATMAN exclusive!". Now it is a paid program for a 64 episode classic collection but if you go to the site they also offer the full series with the exclusive extras. If you don't get WGN the promo may be on another channel.
