Just a thought or two and I'm not sure if the software would allow it if it is deemed desirable.
I was thinking it might make the work of moderators easier if thread authors had the ability to move a thread from one forum to another.
For example at the moment there is an ebay themed thread lodged in the Star Wars discussion thread.
I notice that the author responded to postees commenting on this by opening another thread in the correct section (this leads to forum littering).
If he could have moved his existing thread without having to ask a mod to do it for him (I read there have been difficulties there too) it would have saved the moderator the fuss and effort.
Similarly if a post author had similar permissions he/she would have the option of moving an off topic drift to an appropriate topic rather than having the thoughts contained in it lost or locked down.
