Say Goodbye to the Simpsons (UPDATE: false alarm) — Page 5

I haven't watched a new episode in a few years but I found that, while pretty dumb, I still got some laughs out of it. The show's not good, per se, but it's not gouge your eyes out horrible as some people seem to believe.

I know you like hyperbole, but it's nothing like a pet.  And either you're misusing "literally" or you should seek some help.

Believe me when I say that if it were within my power, I'd go to very extreme lengths to destroy something I utterly, completely loathe.

Have you considered not watching the thing?

I don't watch the thing, and it helps. Just knowing it continues to exist still gets under my skin, though.

I haven't watched the show in ten years, but it still stays on. Does Fox create viewers out of thin air?

I've read that all the money Fox makes off of Simpsons merchandise helps them to keep the show on the air. If that well of revenue were to dry up, they'd cancel it.

For me, wanting something that some people watch off air because you don't like it (and don't watch it) is as irrational as feeling uneasy knowing about two guys having it off when you don't do it with guys.

Imagine it was off air or just deal with it.

^Perhaps. I never did claim to be a particularly rational person, though.

I have nothing bad to say about classic Simpsons. Those first nine seasons make up my favourite TV show of all time.

I watch every episode, but only rewatch older ones.
