They’re charging for that stuff? Who do they think they are, Rifftrax? 😉

1$ if you want to keep a copy; free if you just want to listen to it.

@Disco_Lobot : you should stop insulting people by the way. Especially for a 1-week newb around here.

Who did he insult? I don’t think much of RLM either.

Come on, I’m pretty sure you had a good laugh with their PT chronicles a few years ago 😃

Maybe when I was 13, but now RLM just feels cringe inducing to listen to. I really dislike his sense of humour.

Ok, it’s great dude… I don’t get the age thing about being 13 (this is like a running gag around here the age thing, I’ve never seen that on any other forum or website, mayve it’s specific american humor “I’m not 12… you’re a kid, grow up, this is college year now, LOL”. It’s curious but who am I to judge anyway ?)

(or you mean that you were 13 when you watched RLM videos for the first time ? Ok then, it’s clearer)

I think I’ve only ever listened to their stuff once, and maybe ten minutes at most. Just not my cup of java.

LOL - I was just trying to fit in… Honestly that was a pretty tame insult for this board from what I’ve read so far.

I guess I’ll have to keep working on my post count. Maybe sometime I’ll get a “vet” badge

Some of RLM’s PT criticism was on the nose… but they are just not funny. Their TPM video would be 10x better if it was 50% shorter.

But please, tell us more about how AOTC is better than Rogue One… LOL

How many of you have done a Rogue One - A New Hope back-to-back viewing? I very much want to do so sometime in May if i can find the time, but i am curious if those who have done so think it is worth it? (watching a movie is pretty easy to find time for, but watching two in a row takes a bit more ‘convincing’).

It’s awesome… but then again I work at home (when I’m not visiting clients and prospects) so I just throw on movies when I’m doing non conference call/webex work… so I have lots of time to have movies on in the background.

I still need to get a Blu-Ray burner so I can burn off the SSE onto a disc; It’ll make it easier to watch on its own, nevermind back to back (VLC I’ve found is having some playback issues, especially if you skip around.)

It’s great. I planned a big R1-OT-TFA marathon the weekend after the blu ray came out, but I didn’t have time for all of them and my ROTJ DE disc was scratched (it’s been replaced since then), so I only got those two. It was a lot of fun to watch those two back to back though, imagining Krennic belonging in one of those boardroom chairs, seeing Alderaan annihilated after the previous smaller blasts on Jedha and Scarif, things like that.

Cool, thanks for the feedback all. This might be what pushes me to burn SSE to disc finally as well 😃 since my wife has told me i can’t have this mini-marathon at our house right now. (we are in the middle of some remodeling work, and can’t easily host anyone.)

You guys need Plex… Blu Rays!!! Get with the times 😃

Plex is good (I have/use it), but till everyone has fiber internet, disc’s travel well.

I have Plex. My wife really loves when I get up three or four times during a movie to fix the screwed-up stream.

Ha I probably should have added that I had like 20 Cat 5E drops put in my house when we built it… so I have direct gigabit ethernet to every single TV in my house… I don’t even have to transcode (not even for the huge 22 GB verions of SW). (I also have a 24 TB SAN in my basement… I’m a bit of a techie)

Yeah over wifi you probably need to reduce your transcode quality a bit if your stream is getting screwed up.

are you my doppelganger? I have Cat 6A wired through our whole house, but i didn’t have the luxury of doing it when it was built. I spent over a year rewiring all the electric to replace knob and tube, and added ethernet at the same time. Wires over wireless, and disc over streaming. :p

Nice - I did my last house (I got pretty good with Fish tape!)… but this one we built new so I had them wire it during the build and drop everything to the basement where I have my 48 port cisco switch 😃

The only bad part is the power bill!

The more I watch Rogue one the more I notice little things like…

Game Of Thrones’ Ser Barristan Selmy (Ian McElhinney) playing General Dodanna

and Imperial General Hurst Romadi (the bald guy who is on Tarkin’s staff from Star Wars - sitting in one of those boardroom chairs) is also in Rogue one (played by a different actor obviously - Andy de la Tour 😃)

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Speaking of RLM, their Rogue One commentary track was fucking hysterical. Had me laughing so hard in so many spots.

Mike’s impressions of Admiral Raddus and Mon Mothma were especially good haha. Although it was pretty frustrating when they chose not to pay any attention to the dialog then talked about how they had no idea what was going on.

I’ll admit my first couple times through I didn’t understand why they had to blow a hole in the shield gate when Bodhi could get a signal to the Rebel Fleet no problem, but there is an explanation. If you have it on Blu-Ray, you can take the time to rewatch a given scene to get a better idea of what’s going on for your commentary.

(The data files are too big to get through the shield, or something, but the smaller communications from Bodhi wasn’t big enough to be blocked. I don’t like that explanation, but it exists.)

Not quite right. You need to watch it again 😋 it all works as good as any fiction.

Like Dahmage said, that’s not it. This is the scene where the problem and fix are explained.
