Bingo succeeds where I was lazy!
Long story short, the bike my wife got was too big, so she took my used 883C I posted a month ago and I'm getting one of these:
It comes Wednesday! I'd be excited if we didn't have the furnace on at home and I would probably freeze to death if I rode it!
NOTE: my lack of comment on the OP is probably because my work blocked the image for "Intimate Apparel & Swimwear", but I can imagine what it was. ;-)

Considering Harley is nearly as old a company as Triumph ;-) - I realize what a big statement this is and how many people would disagree - but to me the Nightster is the best looking bike to ever carry the Bar & Shield.
A few years ago I nearly bought one. In fact, much to the chagrin of riding buddies, I was only days away from pulling the trigger on the deal. In the end I couldn't get past the problems they were having with their electrics corroding and failing if you rode in the rain (something I do somewhat regularly). I hope they have that sorted. It really is a gorgeous machine.
Good job, sir. All this time and I never realized you were a rider.

Thanks Anchor! Don't feel bad about not knowing I was a rider, this is just a within the last year thing. My father-in-law and brother-in-law ride, so my mother-in-law decided to take the course so she could go with them on her own bike. Then my wife decided to take the course so she could ride with her mom, so I took it so I wouldn't have to ride behind my wife all the time. ;-)
We took the course last summer and got our endorsements on our licenses. We got a couple 250cc's and were fine with them until we went to Daytona Bike Week last month where they had the setup you see in the picture. On the other side of that tent was every 2012 Harley for anyone with an endorsement to test drive around a track they set up on the Daytona streets. So we got to ride every type of bike we were interested in and find which ones worked the best for us. The day after we came back home we went and got our motorcycles. My wife got a bike that was a bit too big, so we traded it back in for my incoming Nightster.
I'm pumped.

Very nice on taking the MSF and starting on bikes that fit! I can't tell you how many times I see guys on the motorcycle boards I'm on talking about how they've never ridden before, but they know they have to respect the power of the Ducati 1198 they're about to buy. Plus, they had a dirt bike for a few months back in high school, so they understand motorcycles.
Then they add how they'll ride that Duck in a local parking lot for a week until they're really comfortable on the bike before they hit the freeways and the twisties.
*facepalm*
Again, hats off to starting correctly. Pics when you have them.

We've already customized it further, but here is my wife's on the showroom:
We took off the still-new sissy bar, got a Mustang solo seat, and I moved the tail turn signals to the license plate mount (by myself!) so she can use her saddle bags. It was a great deal, used, in perfect condition, with Python pipes which are pretty loud.
I'll take an "after" picture soon.

Girls on Sporties is cool, but guys, not so lol.
anyways mine needs a new battery so I need to get one fast, weather is starting to finally cooperate around here, and my slightly customized 07' Fat Boy is calling my name big time, I say slightly because all I have done is add a full Vance & Hines exhaust and a Pro Performance Hypercharger with K&N Filter and a quick release sissy bar for when the Wife or Kid is on.

Fat Boys are pretty awesome. My wife almost got a Fat Boy Low, but we decided to start smaller.

Yes they are and definitely my favorite of all the Harleys, after seeing Terminator 2 lol that is when I decided that was the Bike for me, and the new ones are even bigger\beefier than the older ones, I just love that huge back tire and fender now and the thicker handle bars and such, I will post pics of mine just as soon as I charge up the battery so I can pull it out to take up to the dealership for a new one, I am ready to friggin ride! always love this time of year.

I'm glad there's a few of us on here. I am sad that almost everything biker related is skulls, flames, or scantily clad women, none of which are my style. I started making some nerdy helmet stickers before I burned myself out.

I agree, and I hate to buy all Harley clothing to, I have a very good Friend(actually the Guy that taught me to ride) and all he wears is Harley stuff, I keep telling him he looks like he just stepped out of a catalog, do-rag, jeans, boots, t-shirts, etc. it is just waaaay to much lol, I have maybe 2 t-shirts and that is it, and they were given to me when I bought my latest Fat Boy, not to mention Harley branded clothing is crazy expensive.
Everyone here who rides should post pics of their bikes, would really like to see what some of you have.

I have a couple of Harley jackets, but nothing too outlandish. The light jacket is racing-looking, which is cool. The heavier one has a liner and is more work-shirt looking. It also has my 005 patch and my Adywan's 2nd Unit patch.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about people who ride 700-pound bikes with only 60 HP and "high performance" air filters, but I digress.
Anyway, what we talking about again? Oh yeah - about how the Sportster is the only Harley with any handling or performance capability.

Well I finally put in the new battery and cleaned it up and got it out, now I just want the weather to warm up just a wee bit more, still a little chilly here, but this is what I have.

I can feel your excitement, I was the same way waiting for this(my Fat Boy) to show up and back in 99 waiting for my SLP Camaro SS to be delivered, it sux waiting lol.
