Ri-iiidge Racer!!!

I found this video to be extremely funny. Now, apparently Sony's E3 Press Conference this year was incredibly boring, but someone has taken the trouble to extract the *most important* points of the conference (very cynically, I might add) and crammed them into one minute of video footage. The end result? Ri-iiidge Racer!, Giant Enemy Crabs, and 599 US dollars. Hilarious.

Seen it before, but it's still hilarious.

"And... this game is based on battles that actually took place in ancient Japan... So here's this giant enemy crab."

Priceless.

That's the point. Kaz Hirai's going on about it, and it's really not that big a deal...

* sigh * Can you imagine how the gaming industry would be without Nintendo?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I'd prefer not to (it's bad enough knowing what it's like without Sega), but yes.

There wouldn't be a gaming industry at all.

In 1983/84 the entire industry crashed. It took the release of the NES in 1985 to bring the industry back.

If it hadn't been for Nintendo, the gaming industry as we know it, most likely would not even exist.
