I don't know if it's possible but it might make threads easier to follow at a glance if there was an option to switch off text in quote blocks.
Quite often people quote great big huge walls of text only to reply with a couple of words.
If the feature worked in the same way as the ignore feature your could click to see the quotes if the rest of the text looked interesting and you wanted to see what was being referenced.
I've noticed also (though it isn't a problem for myself because I have nobody on ignore at the moment) some people complaining that despite putting some users on ignore they are still having those user's posts pushed into their line of site via the quotation feature.
Introducing the ability to switch that off might help those users too.
It would also remove 90% of my jokes which might make some people happy :-D
