About the compulsary voting thing - if they have a blank vote option, then that's actually pretty cool, because if you don't like the candidates you can vote for noone - you make the effort to go to the voting booth and then vote for noone - you can't be accused of apathy and in fact it can be a form of protest. I like it.

You can either press the blank vote button OR vote for a non-existing number. Over here political parties have numbers, there's no political parties with 99, for example, so if you vote for 99 it appears on-screen "invalid vote", if you confirm, it's the same as taking the paper ballot and writing "donald duck", it's a vote but it dosen't count to no one.

I like it. You have still made the effort to get out of bed and go to the voting station, but you are clearly stating that none of the clowns on the paper are good enough for your vote.
