I'll try to post rules and pictures when I've got more time. Meanwhile, Frink can complain and roar and stuff.

For what it's worth, you've spelled it wrong.

Whoops, it's fixed.

It looks interesting.  I'd love to play some time.  Just have to figure out how to get ahold of it :)

Well good luck with that, all five hundred copies were sold in Calgary, Alberta. Maybe someone could create a Zillions file for the game...?

That would be wonderful.  Though the programming is supposed to be simple for Zillions, I still am clueless about it.  But I have made several homemade sets of games based on the rules I have for games.  So if you post the rules here, I'd happily create my own copy of the game (eventually).

No no, Frink.  There is no lion in this game.  There are presidents and senators, though, so the real thing you should be saying is something like, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it," or "Read my lips: no new taxes."

Actually, it is ironic that a game with presidents and dukes is only sold in Canada, a parliamentary country that has no president (rather with a prime minister and a governor general, or even a queen in their most prominent political positions), and no dukes (as there is no aristocracy in Canada).  Weird.

The pieces represent different powers and systems of government. The president represents corporate power, the admiral represents the military, the duke represents monarchy, the temple represents religion, and the senator represents government.

Oh, I see.  Makes sense.  Looking forward to the rules :)

I should be able to scan some rules in some time this week...

I look forward to it.  I love recreating commercial games for cheap.  It might be hard to find two other players to actually play us, though.

Yeah. Warb *might* be willing to try it, but I don't know who else would. It is playable with two players, but not nearly as fun, so it would be nice to have a game going. There is a slim chance I could get "Post Praetorian" to join us, but I don't know if he would be able to play during the day.

If this thread is just for me, why are you guys posting in it?

I'm very bewildered right now. Why is there an additional Ric Olie, to the one that's already here?

Woah!  Ziggy!?  I told you there is a resurrection, Frink!

Wow, where have you been? The reason there is a second Ric Olie is that after watching Frink's TRM, I tried to join up as "Ric Olie" but it was already taken, so I changed the name up a bit to make it clear that I was a different user. I have regretted it ever since (because everyone either asks me about it or automatically assumes I'm a sock because the original Ric Olie was banned at about the same time I started frequenting Off Topic).

No, I haven't. I'm not too enthusiastic about the idea of changing my name at this point. Also, I don't have a clue what I would change it to. I sort of lied about regretting it ever since as well. :) I didn't regret it until I started posting in Off Topic, and then I stopped regretting it recently. I'm OK with it as it is unless someone can think of a better name.

I tried for about two hours to set up a scanner with my computer, but it's incompatible with my version of Windows. It may be a while before I scan the rules in, but I'll get around to it, I promise....

I had the same issue with my scanner.  I mentioned VirtualBox before.  You can emulate a different PC and install an older version of Windows or some other OS with it.  I installed XP (for older shogi software actually), and was able to install my scanner on that.  You can then share files between you real PC and virtual PC, so I can still scan pictures and access them in Windows 7.  Just an idea.

JEDIT: You could also just take a picture of the rules with a digital camera, assuming you can get a decent resolution.
