I rip to iTunes and keep them on my computer to listen to at work. Don't share with others, don't burn copies of actual CDs (unless I own the full album or bought the full album from iTunes), and don't sell anything. Completely legal in case anyone legal eagles are trolling this forum.

A friend of mine works in an office where all the Macs are networked together and he says he can plug in his iPod and click an option for "Share Music" and he and all his coworkers can listen to the playlists on each others iPods through their computers. Can't download the songs to their computers, but they can listen. That's pretty damned cool.

mp3.com used to have a similar feature: if you could prove that you owned the original CD i.e. stuck it in your computer's CD-ROM drive, you could accees all the tracks in mp3 format from any computer simply by using your username and password. Got 'em into a lot of hot water with the major labels.

I've been listening to Incubus lately. Never wanted to get into them because I always lumped them with the whole Limp Bizkit / Korn rap rock movement which I despise. But Incubus' most recent four albums have been made a radical departure from the rap rock genre and they're really good. Been listening to Morning View and A Crow Left of the Murder. Good albums.

Shimmy, the Maroon 5 song is great, but didn't care for Eamon. Bossk, did you ever hear Incubus' contribution to the Spawn soundtrack? Very similar to their current output.

Since this is the only music thread... I've bought Air's new album today, "Talkie Walkie", it's wonderful. Now I'm looking for Kid606's new album, can't find it anywhere. And, just for the kick of it, here are my favorite bands. If you see any band here that you don't know, I'd recomend listening to it:

Mutantes (after 1971)
Pink Floyd (from 67-77)
Radiohead (after 1997)
Air
The Doors
Kid 606
Yes
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Neutral Milk Hotel
Beatles (1967)
Queen (70s)
Portishead
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso
Skank (after 1999)
Los Hermanos (2001)
Kraftwerk
Jethro Tull (70s)

“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering
