Industrial Light and Magic has just signed a NDA's (Non Disclosure Agreement) with every employee at Lucas's company ILM promise not to talk about the possibility of episode's 7, 8 and 9 being made. If Lucas says they're not being made, why the NDA's? Of course, since when has Lucas been consistent?

If this turns out to be legit STAR WARS fans will have a Brit magazine named Hotdog to thank for it, but here goes: according to the December 2003 issue of that magazine, Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew said that when he signed his contract to work in EPISODE III, there was a clause that he would be "required" to work in EPISODES VII, XIII and IX of the STAR WARS film series.
We shall see.

I, for one, would welcome episodes VII, VIII, IX. It's more Star Wars. I don't agree with all the changes GL has made to the movies and I certainly hate Jar Jar, but I still enjoyed episodes I and II. I have my OT laserdiscs (all 3 sets + SE) I can watch if I'm feeling particularily purist on any given day, but I've always wondered how GL envisioned the SW Universe after ROTJ. How does the Universe rebound? Has balance truly been restored? Is there a new threat that comes to the forefront?
Now I know that many of you will certainly disagree, and that's what makes this forum great for debate, but that's my 2 cents anyway.
Cheers,
Chris

SHHHHHH!!!!
Mr Lucas, please disregard anything that Starboy says here. He's delusional. Pay it no mind.
Please.

But seriously, I remember reading a quote in Time or something before episode II. Lucas was talking about his "great success" (quotes mine) of Jar Jar and what a technical masterpiece it was. They did not yet have an Anakin and he said that they had fiddled with the idea of a CG Anakin. He said (now the quotes are his) "the decision would be so daring, the fans would just love it."
It's like when your mom puts something on your plate and says "try it you'll just love it."
(for the Family Guy fans "Excuse me! Did you just tell me what I LOVE?!?" - Stewie, about Broccoli)
