You know what I meant.

Seriously.

I don't want the DS to be devoid of traditional games. The four face buttons, wireless multiplayer and killer graphical power make it ideal for some kick-face fighting games.

Think I'll ask you guys, rather then actually take the time to try researching this question:

Besides the shape, is there a difference between the original Game Boy Advance, and the SP model?

The article I quoted above says that memory adapter will work for the GBA: SP, but using that phrasing, it sounds like it wouldn't work for the original, which is what I own.

If it plugs into the GBA cartrage slot it should work on the SP as well as the standard model.

THe GBA SP is the same hardware internally as the GBA. It is shaped like a flip-out compact style device, and has a lit screen for playing in poor light. The biggest non-cosmetic difference is that it has a lithium ion rechargable battery rather than two AAs. This of course creates a serious problem if you lose the recharger.

If you intend to get a DS, then I don't think getting an SP is worth it UNLESS you want to continue to play old GB and GB Color games, because the DS is backwards compatible with only the GBA.

Already got the original GBA, not considering getting a DS.

Got KotOR2 on my radar screen right now...and the wait is killing me from the inside out.

As I said earlier, I'm a loyal Nintendo user.

I don't own XBox. PC version comes out in February, assuming they keep on schedule.

D'oh. Sorry.

Nearly everyone I spend time with has an Xbox (and Kotor)...
KotoR on the Cube would take way too many discs.

XBox DVD holds the usual 4.7GB right?

Gamecube disks are 1.5GB, so depending on the size of KotOR 2, it could be 2 disks, which is not unheard of on Gamecube. One of the Resident Evil games was produced as a 2 disk game.

I think the thing that prevents a port to Gamecube is the differences in the system. An Xbox is really just a stripped down PC, as evidence by the fact that many people have hacked them and added Linux.
Gamecube uses a lot of proprietary stuff, built for them by ATI and IBM.

I'm with you, starkiller. Gates gets enough of my money without shelling out for the GatesBox.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

It's not about the makers of the consoles, but the games you can play on them.

Exactly, XBox could have just as easily been the worst console this era were it not for good Developer support.

Don't you remember the XBox's launch games(Besides Halo)? They blew.

I did that as well.

So. Aside from the obvious choices of Halo CE, Halo II, and KoToR...

What is your favorite Xbox game?

The rest of my XBOX games besides the obvious exceptions that you pointed out aren't exclusives to the XBox, but probably my multi-platform favorites I have for the XBox that I can think of off the top of my head would probably be Metal Arms, James Bond: EoN, and Full Spectrum Warrior.

The only XB games I have besides the three I mentioned earlier are Ninja Gaiden, Riddick, GTA Double Pack, Mech Assault, DOA3, and CloneWars/Tetris World.

Of those, I guess Riddick is my favorite.

Riddick is a kick-ass game, as I said in the Riddick thread.

Very enjoyabel, though in my opinion there was too much cussing and not enough gunplay.

I don't mind first person hand to hand but you have to rely on it (and that stupid stun pistol) for far too long of a stretch.

Very true, and there's next to nothing I like about the GatesBox, including the games. The controllers SUCK, and the system is designed so you can't get DVD playback UNLESS you buy a conversion kit. Even Sony wasn't that short-sighted.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Yeah, the controllers did suck, then they came around and made their own Sony-Style controller S.

We should make a fund that donates XB original controllers to freakishly large people.

I'm sure an remaining descendants of Goliath might be interested.
