yeah i would reaed too much into montreals defeat, the canucks scored 6 goals on them in less then 14 mins in the first period.

No doubt. I like the Canucks chances this year. They're a playoff team, and I think they have a good shot.

not with all our injuries, if the canucks were healthy, i would say it was going to be a ottawa canucks finals, but with our number one goalie out and our number one defencman out, i donno. nassy might be out too we jsut have to see if he heals or if he needs surgry as well. the canucks are not strong enongh down the center and after our 4the dman, we are getting a little thin.

Actually, my team doesn't....the next time the Sens could possibly see the Stars is in the final

HEDBURG HAS BEEN SOLID AS TURCO'S BACKUP. YEAH, MODANO IS THE HEART OF THE TEAM, BUT THE STARS ARE LAYERED.

yeah i remember how good hedberge was, he was the canucks back up last year. he is great, but still i would put him at the same level as auld, so we would be even in net

and vancouver is pretty layared too, we won today 7- 4 vs the coyotes amd 7 different players scored i beleive.

sure they do, cujo in next, ricci, ballard, they are only 6 points out right now, without looking i think thats enough for them to be in, in the east, so they arent a push over, they are also like 4 or 5 games above 500 which is pretty good as well.

They're not great, but they are having a decent year. I think they'll be competitors in a few seasons from now.

oh so thats how its going to be eh dayv, you're going to go all hockey stats on me now eh, ok well take this

Phoenix has 55 pts which is good enough to put them in 8th in the east, they are 2 game above 500 and are 6 points back of colorado, now if they go on a mini winning streak of say 4 or 5 games, and colorado goes on a short losing streak of say 2 or 3 games, all of a sudden they are in. its tahts close. they also have players like nagy (56 points) doan(team canada all star) ballard( a 28 point Defenceman) comrie(all-star winger) and cujo (one of the best goalies in the league). they would have more too if hull hadnt retired, and nedved hadnt been traded.

lol your right but what i am saying is that they are not as bad as you think even though they are 10th in the west.
Author

no it doesnt, 2 over 500 is not a bad record.
Author

It's not a really bad record for a developing team, it isn't.

thats what a developing team is dayv, the ones that want to make the playoffs, and have to fight to get there.

and yes this is very nice, talking hockey, i think this is the longest one we have ever had on this site at one time.

I think Phoenix will be one of the teams to watch for in the new NHL. Give it a couple years, for all the kinks in contract talks and that to work out, and they'll be a contender. Maybe not top notch, but not far behind.

hmm i dont knwo if i would agree with that assessment, i jsut dont see alot of light in there future, and phoenix has never been a good drafting team, we'll see though.
