Making generic avatars more "Star Warsy"

I find the generic default avatars a little bland. Make them all clones? šŸ˜‰

Now that Disney is holding Vaderā€™s leash, Iā€™d suggest an up-to-date image for the new Star Wars audience

or high contrasted like the present generic

or mixed contrasts

BTW, is there a recommended/exact size for original avatar submissions to prevent resizing (usually with unwanted/detrimental results)? If so, could that information be included on the account page?

Random troopers seems pretty easy. Storm/Snow/Scout gives you some decent variation without even leaving the OT (which I always hate to do). It is originaltrilogy.com after all. Rebel/imperial insignia would work too.

Iā€™m inclined against any imperial images as a default, though. Some people can be strangely sensitive to being designated a ā€œbad guyā€ on day 1, so Iā€™d say rebel insignia.

The ā€œstandardā€ symbol of the rebellion was retrofitted onto the OT as a branding exercise, but there were actually lots of rebel insignia to choose from.

Well, then, the plainer the better. It would be a push-force for them to put in their own avatars. But I agree ā€“ the default should be something ā€œoriginal trilogyā€ but generic enough (or 50/50 enough) so as to be like something from the new movie(s), too.

Maybe George & Mickey? šŸ˜„

Can we give Darth Id a pissing monkey avatar?

I like the Phase II Clone and the Death Star (though itā€™s a bit too reminiscent of ImpScum šŸ˜›)

The stormtrooper looks a bit too wide/square, IMO
