Help capturing video game cutscenes

There is a guy on ebay currently that is selling DVDs which contain cutscenes from the Metal Gear Series in their entirety/

I figured that I could probably do it myself a heck of a lot cheaper, but I don't know how to go about it.

I've ripped music and the like from American games(like GTA VC and SA), but these are encoded differently. Any help?

You could get a dvd recorder and hook up the video game system to it. I have thought about doing this dont feel like buying yet another dvd player.

Isn't there a way to rip them straight from the DVD?

I've only been able to record them onto a tape.

Sessler has ten times as many posts as I do.
