The Original Trilogy on "free" tv...

While checking the website of the Los Angeles UPN station trying to find out when the heck Enterprise was going to be on, (they bumped it for baseball last night, those %$#@!) I noticed Star Wars is going to be on tonight, and Empire will be on next Saturday night. Presumably Jedi will follow that, the website does not go that far ahead though.
Has anyone spotted the trilogy on tv lately? And was it the 97’s or the DVD cuts? Episode IV seemed to be on basic cable a lot not long after the 20th anniversary, but I haven’t seen Empire or Jedi on tv in years…

USA used to show the trilogy at christmas. That's how I saw it long before we bought the tapes. After the SE, they stopped showing ANH, but they would continue to show ESB and ROTJ in their original forms. I always missed ANH anyway, but it still peeved me that the SE stopped the tradition.

Made for IE Forum's Episode III theme month - May 2005.

According to the listing description on the UPN site, it will be the 1997 Special Edition.
