It has the right people lined up to do it. It's all in the execution. I've had my fingers crossed for months for this film. I'm worried that they will try to appeal to a broader audience with this, and it will not fit with the first one. At least we know someone here will fix it if it's screwed up.

Huh, it is with puppets! I am impressed! Here I was thinking it would be 100% CG, but no, only the backgrounds. I guess puppets in front of a green screen is better than no puppets at all.

The first was one of my favorite movies growing up. It was just super weird, mysterious, and slightly darker compared to other stuff I saw when I was like....7. Even to this day I'll pop it in every so often and enjoy the overall fantastic oddness of the whole movie.

I'm glad as hell they are using puppets. I trust that they will put the CG backdrops and whatnot in the hands of people that actually give a damn about the first movie and keep the feel similar.

And the soundtrack is nothing short of fangasmic.

WE WON'T HAVE ANY OF THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS THIS GO AROUND AS IT'S SET 3,000 AFTER THE FIRST MOVIE.

Even though I watched the DC for the first time already as an adult, I really liked this eerie fairy tale. It reminded me of my "trips to imagination land" from my childhood, when I was reading plenty of books. I wonder if they can capture today that spirit: the spirit of an old, classic fable.

I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...
