I'm curious why you won't tell us where you were.
Had a thought yesterday, but I won’t tell you where I was when it came to me…
Harrison Ford stared in two movies set during WWII: Hanover Street and Force 10 From Navarone.
Could either of these be tweaked into Indiana Jones movies? HS is probably a lost cause, but Force 10 may have some potential.
I think it could be pulled off with some adjustment to dialogue and music.
Also add some of the Indy movies signature sounds effects. The only real problem is that both of these movies were made 10+ years before The Last Crusade so Harrison Ford looks considerably younger. Just a thought.
Tell me what you think.
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

What I've been wanting to see for some time is a series of novels exploring Jones' wartime career. Oddly I'd never given any thought to what Jones might have done during the war until he mentions his service in Crystal Skull. But of course a Nazi-hating guy like him couldn't possibly have stayed out of action, and with his skills and abilities he would have to have been some kind of commando, special forces soldier. Lots of plot possibilities there in a similar vein as Force 10 from Navarone.
I found a short article on another site listing what we know about Jones' exploits in WW1 and WW2 from various sources:

This page suggests there is a series of fan fiction stories about Jones' WW2 missions, but I'm not seeing the stories themselves (maybe nobody wrote any yet):
