So, when watching the featurettes for Ant-Man on the Blu-ray disc, the film’s director, Peyton Reed, stated that the film was originally framed for 2.4:1 with a shooting ratio of 1.78:1, but during post he realized that when you shrink everything expands vertically. So he opened it to 1.85:1. I had an idea to keep the 1.85:1 frame for the macro size shots and scenes, but reframe the rest of the movie to 2.4:1. Just a thought because I don’t have the money for a Blu-ray ripper.
