How to scan printed stuff

hi there. I know this question is really really random. But, trying to find articles of this kind has made me unsuccessful in this manner.
So, with no where else to post, I post here.

I hope someone has could tell me how to scan a printed page and get those blasted CMYK (or whatever) printed dots off!
I don't know if it's possible, but if it is, I'd really like to read a good guide for it. Either by using photoshop, or otherwise.

Thanks!

Look around in your scanner settings for an option called "Descreening." Where it is will vary depending on your scanner's manufacturer and its software. When you find it, turn it on. It'll go a long way to removing the CMYK dot structure; some scanner drivers may do it better than others.
