It’s not an ISO. I actually hadn’t realized that so many people were used to ISOs of Despecialized rather than folders, and that there was a bit of a gap in knowledge as far as people knowing the relationship between these two things.

Do you have VLC or a similar media player installed? If so, you can open those folders and in the stream folder, there is an m2ts file that opens in VLC (this is what plays when you have the iso mounted). Right clicking the BDMV folder also gives an option to Play in VLC, I think.

It might even play in Windows Media Player or whatever you’ve got installed. Not sure since I don’t use it.

If it helps, Googling “avchd imgburn” will bring up some really good instructions on how to easily create an ISO from the AVCHD files.

You know, it is actually funny to think how all-encompassing playback programs (like VLC, Kodi, etc.) have so obscured the actual complexity of playing the contents of image files like ISOs. It used to be that images were predominantly used for burning physical media (largest benefit being consistency, in that it removed a lot of human error in the burning process) or you had to find a program to mount the image as a virtual drive and then generally still interact with it as if it was an actual disc (or whatever it was an image of). Fast forward a decade and commercial video player compliant content NOT in an image is considered the difficult method…

Just amazing… from a certain point of view.

This can’t end well… Time to hide the younglings.

That’s a pretty cool and significant interview you’ve brought to our attention. Thank you. And, I can’t imagine what it must be like to be Harmy and have this kind of attention… It is really good he had the chance to explain the general piracy stance and to thank Disney/Lucasfilm at the end of the interview for their leniency.
