I agree, this is fantastic. Salvaging the score of the prequels for the sequels is a great idea for those of us who have no interest in watching them.
I tried rescoring the Han death scene with the “Immolation Scene” music track from Episode 3 and I find it works spectacularly.
I have rebuilt the sfx and used noise reduction on the dialogue to get it just right. PM me if you want a high quality to use.

Rots has a beautiful score. So does tpm for that matter, seeing it put to better use is always welcome.
I wouldn’t mind a high quality version did future use. If you could be so kind that is. If you don’t mind giving it to me you can just give me the audio and I can sync it to the blu ray video myself to save download time.
This is an INCREDIBLE rescore, if I had the talent, I would add it into the movie for my own personal enjoyment. 😄
Ya’ll can look forward to some more rescoring in my Last Jedi edit 😉
I’ve got some good surprises ahead…
I’m personally not a huge fan of reusing old music unless I have to (especially in this case where the pieces are somewhat similar), though it does work well.
Have you put any thought to rescoring the next bit with John Williams’s alternate piece for that scene?

I have no qualms reusing prequel music since I don’t consider them in my own head canon. So this probably mainly applies to people like myself who don’t really watch the PT in marathons.
I’ll be using prequel music in the Last Jedi too. My idea is basically to utilize the best music of the PT in moments where the ST just has better scenes and deserve better music. So I already have around 3 TLJ scenes that will be rescored with prequel music.
Cobb, Im also curious where I can find this alternate piece and what the track name is?

Fair enough. I think the ST music is just fine, but I can imagine some benefits to an approach like this.

No track name as it hasn’t been officially released, just ripped from the TFA blu-ray special features.

Works really well. Great job
No offense, kid, but I don’t think you know how to boil water.
