Please be aware of the forum rules. This is a “custom DVD”, so you know how that goes if you want to see it…

I LOVE this MOVIE, but when it came out on DVD as Godzilla vs. Hedorah (the International Title), it had an all together alternate English Dub from the one used on the version shown on American T.V. for years and years. Most of the lines are the same, but the voice acting is not as funny as the version that was shown on U.S. T.V., and the new DVD does not include the English version of the title song (“Save the Earth”). Toho Pictures calls the DVD version the International English Dub.

I’ve now restored the original American Pictures International (A.P.I.) soundtrack keeping the letterbox video from the 2004 DVD. I’ve also placed the A.P.I. logo and “Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster” Title card back into the film using an old VHS tape as source. Godzilla is a childhood hero, and I felt that this film has to be preserved the way we in America grew up with it.

Go Go Godzilla…

You can send me PM if you want to talk Godzilla.

preservation of the original 1961 version of “MOTHRA” COMING SOON!
(B.T.W. “MOTHRA” has never been on DVD!!!)

That "Save The Earth" song took a long time to get out of my head when I first heard it many years ago! I recall when Elvira ran the film on Movie Macabre in the 80's, she did some dancing to it.
I could have sworn there was a pan and scan Laserdisc of the old English dub. There is a double feature DVD of it paired with Godzilla Vs. Megalon I've seen on Ebay. Probably not Toho approved, but at least one seller claims it's the original english dubs, so maybe the title cards are there as well?

That DVD is pure trash. I have it. Yes, It's a pan and scan of the worst print of a film I have ever seen in my life! The audio is useless on that piece of trash too. And it's a DVD-R. I was shocked that Amazon sold this crap to me. STAY AWAY from this product.
