"Gap" in page caused by sidebar ads

Over the last several days, I have noticed that there's a gap in the page that is directly next to the advertisements that appear.

For example, if I go to the Star Wars Fan Edits and Preservation Efforts forum, I see the heading "Announcements", and then as I scroll down there's a big patch of nothing except for the advertisement, and then as soon as I reach the end of the advertisement, the Announcement threads finally appear.

This seems to happen on the forum and sub-forum pages, but not the thread pages.

Since the gap is the same size as the ads, I get the sense that the ads are somehow causing this.

Again, this seems to be an issue that only occurs with Internet Explorer 6:

IE6 = worst browser ever

I'm compiling a list of IE6 issues and will implement fixes as soon as possible.

No problem. I found a quick fix for IE6 only until I can come up with a layout solution that works across all browsers.
