Expired at various points in 95-96. Its just cool to check out the old merchandise. I forgot they have micromachine star wars toys.

I once tried to redeem a coupon I found on a 97 Special Edition VHS copy. It didn’t work.

I remember those stand ups! They used to have them in Suncoast or similar movie/music stores. When I was pretending to be straight I used to ask for the Slave Leia one.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I have Leia and the droids. How much were they if you could save 89.50 when buying them all?

D’oh, next image, 24.50.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I still have that envelope with the coupons, too. 😉 I found it in a drawer like 3 days ago. There was also a form to fill out to send away for a free vhs copy of ‘the making of star wars’ which I did. The cover was made to match the ‘faces’ covers and it had a new narration by Don LaFontaine, replacing William Conrad.

I thought the Making of Star Wars VHS was from Corn Pops cereal? I remember sending away for it. Fruit Loops got you Han as a Stormtrooper and Lays chips the Spirit of Obi-Wan.

You’re probably right. I sent away for all that stuff, too. The Han Stormtrooper, the Obi-Wan force ghost, etc. And then, Doritos had all those lenticular discs that I HAD to get every one of! (I never thought I could actually get sick of eating Doritos!)

My dad liked them and so did I so it was pretty easy to get the two boxes to send away for it.

Anyone know why they changed the narrator?

Yeah Corn Pops are good, C-3P0s…not so much! I remember collecting the boxes that had the masks on the back and I ended up putting the cereal in a plastic bag for my nephews because I couldn’t eat it. 😛

The narration change was a rights issue, no doubt.
