Who here watches this excellent show?

Generally I loved the first couple of seasons but haven't been able to catch up with as many of the new ones as I'd like to. Seems they've gotten even more ecclectic with some of their humor in the new ones which can be good or bad.

I used to watch this show all the time, but then it got really popular at my school and EVERYBODY started quoting it all the time ( like Napoleon Dynamite ), so I just stopped watching it out of frustration. I'll still watch it occasionally though and it never fails to amuse me.

It'll pass, as it always does. Just like this year with Star Wars, most people have already forgotten Episode III.

of course it'll pass, but it still remains one of the funnier shows on. same with futurama.. no one talks about this show anymore, but it was arguably one of the better ones on at the time. still holds up, imho

This pretty much sums it up perfectly.

Actually, Futurama's another popular one at school. Come to think of it, the Family Guy fans are almost always Futurama fans too....

The scene that never fails to crack me up is at Peter's boss' funeral when he does the 'Hulk' tv show riff on Jesus.

"As Christians, we believe that Jesus is not dead. But he must make the world believe that he is dead, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him" *merges the pictures of "regular" and "hulk" Jesus together* "da-da-da-daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

I laughed for almost 5 minutes straight when I saw that. It's become like a catch-phrase with a friend of mine. Totally classic.

Is anyone watching American Dad? At first I didn't care for it, but then it grew on me. Definitely worth watching.

I couldn't quote it because I didn't want to start laughing out lous to myself at work. Priceless!

'American Dad' I do find very watchable, if not as memorable.

PS: And maybe 'Hulk' jokes are just funny, but the whole Stewie gag with the walkig out of the room to the Bill Bixby/Hulk theme and the end credits bit with Stewie hitchhiking... ahhhahahaaaaa.

My favorite scene from Family Guy is when Peter's son remembers the time Peter hit a deer with his car, something like:

(Two cars stoped at a road, Peter and a talking Deer are looking at the cars)

Peter: "It's only a small scratch I don't see any reason to get the insurance."
Deer: "Yes but I still want to get your record file..."
Peter: "But it's not even..."
Deer: "I know I know I just feel more secure if I have your record."
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

ROTFLOL! Classic.

Or about when they were talking about WASPS, originally meant as the insects, then they switch to a scene of a rich family at a dinner table. The husband says something nasty, then the wife says "I do know about civility at the dinner table", then the husband says to the daughter "Dear, did you know your mother is a whore?".

Also, who can forget those EPIC fights with the chicken? That rules. They interviewed one of the writers on the local radio station here about a month ago. He said they just kind of threw in the first one as a lark, but got such a large reaction from the audience that they decided to do it again.

I have seen only the first fight, that was amazing, it was supposed to be just a small daydream-esqe joke, but it never ended, it went on and on!

I saw another one the other day where Stewie is trying to avoid his first birthday party so he goes to an airport. One of the pilots talks with him and convinces him to face his problems. So Stewie says something like "As for you, kind sage, I give you the gift of thinking about your good deed for years while stuck in FROZEN CARBONITE!!" and blasts him with a carbonite gun. Was rolling...

What's wrong with my statement?

The general public is off on another tangent now and no one hears about EpIII from the media and merchandise is disappearing from the stores, and seeing as the general public is controlled by the media and the merchandising machine, Star Wars is out of sight, out of mind(barring the fan community of course, who will never forget anything).

Haven't you noticed no one is quoting Napoleon Dynamite anymore? The Shirts disappeared from Wal-Mart.

I know, I know. I meant that I'm sure that they haven't forgotten about it completely. They never will as long as the other films and TV shows reference it, and the *cringe* media continues to use Star Wars fans as the butt of their jokes.

I don't think it's that they disappeared so much as it is that they sold out in time for Christmas. You'll see more.
