Yep, Donner says that on the disc. You’ll notice during the scene that among other things, Reeve’s hairstyle keeps changing.

Not even gonna lie, I do not remotely remember ever creating this thread.

But I’m really enjoying the discussion so far. I think I’m gonna take a look at both versions and might look into doing a hybrid in the future. There is some great potential in Superman 2.

Is there an individual release of the Lester cut on Blu-Ray? I can only seem to find Donner’s outside of the box sets.

I haven’t seen it. Same thing with the theatrical Superman release, which I prefer. You want the theatrical cuts, you gotta buy Superman IV along with it.
