Ooh, like a Hall of Shame or the stocks in the center of a medieval town. I like it.
I (somewhat) jokingly made the comment awhile back in the Congratulations/condolences to our new moderator, Anchorhead thread that we should have a separate forum titled "Detention Block AA-23" where banned members (and the reasons for their bans) could be listed.
Having just recently noticed twooffour's ban, the thought resurfaced in my mind. I suppose there's no need for it, per se, but I'm sure it would satisfy man a member's curiosity as to why a particular member was banned and whether said ban is temporary or permanent. It may also serve as a warning/reminder to others about what behaviour(s) to avoid themselves.

I've suggested something like this a few times (although never directly in this part of the forum, I admit) and I've been loudly ignored.
Darth Solo made an off-topic thread about banned members once but it turned into a bickerfest. I may or may not have been involved.

Boy, that doesn't sound like an admission of guilt ;)

I support this idea wholeheartedly. The Leper's Colony on the Something Awful forums is one of my favorite parts on the site.
And if anyone who gets banned has a problem with it then it's their fault for being a shitposter.
EDIT: Probations wouldn't be a bad idea either, for that matter.
EDIT 2: And if you do implement probations, can I PLEASE be a mod for just one day? Twelve hours even.
