About half of the Deleted Scenes reel on A Mighty Wind; bloody funny stuff.

The original ending of Stigmata.

The extended underwater fortress sequences in The Abyss.

The Spider Walk in The Exorcist.

Deleted Scenes that have been reinsurted into the movie don't count.

Terminator- All of them. I really liked all of the deleted scenes on the DVD and would love an extended cut of this movie.

Evolution - The Extended Chasing the Bird, the Alternate Ending, and Denese dumping Ira. All of these scenes were very funny and should have been kept.

Attack of the Clones - Padmes family scene I think should have been kept.

Small Soilders - One scene where he says "they think were just like them" was very funny and should have been kept

Rat Race - Some very funny material was cut out. Though the movie was still hilarous without it I think it should have been kept.

They were reinserted (in some cases) for the DVDs, but I'm arguing that they shouldn't have been cut in the theatrical releases. Okay, so I guess you can still argue The Exorcist since the rerelease a couple years ago did have it in there. C'est la vie. The others, though. Damn good stuff that never should have been cut.

Are the Evolution scenes available on the DVD? I never saw those.

Yes they are and in anamorphic video. Evoluition is a very funny movie and those scenes would have made it funnier.

I love it when they actually finish up the deleted scenes. The edited stuff from Go is still raw footage. Sucks.

Of course, then there's the deleted scenes on BTILC, which are taken from Beta tapes of the workprint; given the shaft that BTILC got in distribution, I suppose we're lucky to have them in any form.

Yes, but those are the realities of working within the studio system, especially if you're a young up-and-coming filmmaker. The studio gives you a running time and you can't go over, which sometimes means sacrificing important expository details.

Yes thats what happened with Aliens. The only reason the shorter version excists is because the studio didn't want the longer version in the theater. Why the original DVD release was Special Edition only. Still I think choice to watch deleted scenes cut into the film should be offered on more discs.

Seamless branching was still a tricky proposition @ that point. The first DVD to do it successfully was either Independance Day or T2:UE, and there still aren't many that have done it well. Anyone recall the "extended branching" feature on the first release of X-Men? I could take a bathroom break in the pauses between theatrical and deleted material!
