Has anyone done up a nice transfer of this? It’s LB, original “Euro” cut with voiceover.

Anyone? Bueller?

Send me an email (in sig) and I'll shoot you a copy of the Dark Jedi transfer; it's the latest transfer and it looks SO NICE!
(I'll also send a copy of ON THE EDGE OF BLADE RUNNER )

Diggity!

dark_jedi's version (4:3 letterboxed, 30fps interlaced) does look nice on an old-fashioned TV,
but on a progressive display or projector you might prefer Farsight's.
Like the Gonzo trilogy, it isn't the sharpest picture but it's 24fps anamorphic.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Rikter, any chance of grabbing a copy of 'On The Edge Of Bladerunner' from you?
My copy is a cheesy avi file, downloaded from the net, and i'd love a clean dvd
version, assuming this is what you have.

thanks,

Win

p.s. i have your BR version, and its sweet!

hello guys...

I came across this post from a Google search for "On The Edge Of Blade Runner". So I registered to reply, heh.

As it happens, there's a full anamorphic, gorgeous transfer of the Original Version available *as we speak* on TPB. It's a 2-DVD edition, which includes a documentary, soundtrack, and a lot of DVD-ROM content. I've seen LD rips before, but this one looks really good - no artifacting, no distorsion and true 16x9 is a bonus.

now... can someone help me finding a good copy of that elusive "On The Edge Of Blade Runner" documentary?

edit: Rikter, dude, I just realized you did one of the TPM vesrions - and an album, as well... Props, man, good work! You should check out this BR version I posted (from a newsgroup source... they're doing "Hearts of Darkness" next)

Strangelove, I could get you a copy of "on the edge." It's in 16x9 but mastered from VHS I believe.

No clue, actually... I see him occasionally and he is more into this stuff than I am, since IT is his professional field. I'll ask... myself, I never got into that scene, so I never bothered with details, it seems all more complicated than BT or DC++

I have Rikters copy and it is great.

Not mine - My DVD's avoid balls of any sort... (source tapes excluded)

IF you got it from myspleen then it's the Farsight version.

Hey all,

It has been awhile since I posted due to the birth of my daughter.....she is getting ready to turn a year old this month, actually in about a week....day before my b-day.

Anyways, I seem to remember some time ago that a transfer of this was being discussed and I was willing to lend my Criterion Collection Laserdisc for it. If anyone is planning on doing one themselves the offer is still open. As always, thanks for keeping Star Wars and Movie Archives alive and strong.........all the hard work IS appreciated.

Peace 2 U ALL!!!!
