Idea: for my Chronological LOST edit (spoilers)

Hi all. This is my first post at OT.com, having just found the site (thanks to hearing about ANH:R). I’ve glad to have found you guys, though, because I’ve been hard at work on a fan edit of my own.

My plan is to take the entire series of LOST and put it in chronological order. That is, remove flashbacks/forwards/sideways from the ‘current’ events, and place them in their own files.

In theory, a viewer will be able to watch, say, Jack’s past in one file, Island Days 1-3 on another file, the entire Sideways storyline in another, etc.

I have the first 9 Island days mapped out, and the first couple days finished. If anyone would like to see what I have so far, please PM me and I’ll get a workprint to you ASAP.

I’m looking for:

1. Encouragement. This is a big project, so if people are watching and enjoying, it’ll make it easier to get through!

2. Help finding editable files. My DVDs are in America, and I’m in Japan, and I don’t feel like having them shipped just to make this happen.

3. Help getting the ordering done. It’s easy enough to find a chronology of events, but harder to find which bits exactly need to go where. If you could join me in a Google Document, it would be very helpful!

Not trying to tell you not to do this or anything, I just thought you'd like to know that there are at least 2 very similar projects out there.

Hah, I was thinking of doing this just the other day. Good luck I'd especially like to see how the flashbacks play out.
