Idea: a Casino Royale/Quantum Of Solace edit?

I couldn’t find anything out there about this (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m talking about the re-boot version with Daniel Graig here.

I really enjoyed the film but it was just a bit too long. As it stands this might be worth waiting till Quantum Of Solace is released on DVD being that it’s pretty much Casino Royale Part II.

And I feel a cut of the two together ‘might’ be possible.

At the basic level I feel the last 15-20mins of Royale could be added to the opening of Solace.

Suggestions?

Are you talking about cuttiing both into one film?

From what I've heard the flavour of QOS will be a bit different. Although it follows on directly from CR i'd expect it to be action heavy and light on the character development. I guess we wont know until we've seen the film.

Personally I think CR is fine as it is. I actually enjoy it more than a LOT of the older Bond films.

I have seen QOS and you are right, pretty much, more action, less on character. Don't get me wrong I really liked I just thought it was missing something where as CR had a bit too much lol. If that makes sense.

If anything I thought Quantum of Solace should've had a bit longer running time. If anything QoS needs is an Extended Edition edit. Bring on Bond 23 to complete the current Trilogy EON is doing. Bond 24 I believe should be a return to the stand-alone film formula after 21-23.

I'd heard that after QoS, they're returning to the standalone format, but with an overall arc connecting all the films, incluing CR and QoS with the QUANTUM organization.  Kinda like SPECTRE in the old films, but more connected than that.
