OK, seems like we make a lot of references to shows on this channel. Time for a thread?

I saw Sealab 2021 for the first time this morning. They were doing a rip on making a movie called "Tin Fins". Was ROLLING. It was hilarious. Also, Venture Bros is quite good.

I do like Cartoon Network, especially 'Adult Swim'. That said I haven't watched in awhile but am a big fan of the stuff from a few years back- Home Movies, ATHF, Sealab, The Oblongs, Mission Hill, etc.

I haven't seen Boondocks or any of the anime they've been running as of late. Am I missing anything good?

I watched Sealab 2021 saturday, it was very funny. It was this episode where the captain gets trapped under a soda vending machine fallen on him, and he stays there for months, living on soda and scorpion poison.

LOL!!! Will definitely have to check it out more. It is very reminiscient of the old Hannah-Barbarra cartoons of my youth. Much like Venture Bros. Thank God for DVR.

THAT EPISODE WAS HILARIOUS. I DIG AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE THE MOST. I LIKE THE MOONINITES.

I also enjoyed Space Ghost Coast to Coast, too bad it's not on anymore. My favorite episode featured Bjork.

I was totally into Scooby as a kid. However, when I see it now, I'm like "No WAY are the kids watching this!!". It can be a bit scary at times, to be sure.

Do you remember that series: The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo? It was the best Scooby series, IMHO.

When I was little, my cable didn't come with Cartoon Network, so I was more of a Nicktoons kid. But as for Scooby Doo, I never did care for it and still don't, for the most part.

Ugh... Cartoon Network is gradually replacing all their good stuff in favor of badly dubbed anime and stupid programming target at the lowest common denominator.

(I swear, there is this new show called "RobotBoy"... I see one episode where a bunch of stuff gets blasted, like a big war, but I only catch the very end of it. The next episode, I'm busy playing a DS game, but I can still hear the show in the back ground, and the main human character is trying to teach the Robotboy why being a bully is bad, completely with patronizing speaches and the works. Ugh.)

Look at Justice League--possibly the best show on the network, IMO: They put it on hiatus for months to show an anime series called Bobobo-Bo-Bobo, about a guy with a big affro and a mustache that doubles as a pair of whips, who figths the evil "head-shavers"...

They dropped FRIGGIN' JUSTICE LEAGUE for this crap!

I think Scooby was greatly entertaining in the first season and I can still watch those over and over again. The celebrity match-up ones were very strange but enjoyable in an odd kitchy way. But I loathe... LOATHE I SAY... Scrappy Doo. If only the Mystery Machine would have backed over him...

But as far as classic cartoons/Hanna Barbera/etc- anybody into the original (not the 'virtual reality' remake) Jonny Quest? Man I dug that show!

Now THAT'S a series I'd love to have on DVD! Artistic design by the comic master Jack Kirby!

I wouldn’t care, but it’s a dangerous affair...

Give me any 60s-70s Scooby-Do WITHOUT the canned laughter and I'll be satisfied...or the Zombie Island movie. I didn't mind that movie, and I really like the soundtrack.
