Help Wanted: Bounty Hunter - The Video Game DVD (need help please)

Hi,

I’ve been lurking around for couple of months on this forum and have seen wonderful collaborations. I really appreciate the work you guys are doing. I have found months ago a fan-made dvd of the Episode III game and I really appreciate its content: cut-scenes from a game I will never play. Recently, I got myself a home-video/dvd recorder and I decided to see if I can get some support with this new idea.

I have recorded on a dvd, all the cut-scenes and bonus material from the Jango Fett/Bounty Hunter the game. I’m wondering if somebody skilled with video editing softwares would like to give a try to this project of putting together a dvd with menus and everything else that we expect from a fan-made dvd. I would really like to see all game bonus (Wizard cards, comics, out-takes, concept art) included.

This is just a big idea, but the un-cut dvd with all material is just waiting right on my desk waiting to be sent over the net to the proper person. I have also scanned the booklet, which could be included as DVD-Rom material.

Please contact me over msn (mmathab@hotmail.com) or ICQ 2433127 if you are interested to give it a try. I plan to do the same with the X-Wing - Rogue Leader game.

If I don’t get any support, at least I don’t need my son’s Gamecube anymore to take a look at the videos.

Thanks

P.S. I’m off on vacations for 4 days, let’s see if I can get some feedback while I am away.

Thanks for your reply. I will be please to send you a link to the iso of the dvd on my ftp by email when I'm done converting it. You will probably find the cut-scenes only cannot really be watched as a entire movie without loosing a big part of the story. I'm wondering if I should go back at the game and complete the levels, so that you can extract the doors transitions, end of level in-game animations and stuff. I will let you decide what we should do and I will go through the game quickly to see which part should be recorded so that we don't loose the story.

I think it's a good start as it is, lot of people will enjoy it I think.

I could be wrong but I recall two other forum members teaming up for a project like this. I think it was Kaal-Jhyy and Ash595.

It was Kaal-Jhyy and Galactus who were working on this but I haven't heard anything for a while. We'll just play it by ear and see how it goes

I don't want to be too restrictive on how you will edit the project but this is how I forsee it:

1) Disclaimer that we usually see for material created over this board
2) Lucasart Jango Fett Logo (included at the end in the uncut version)
3) Front Menu for the movie and bonus (edit from the game menu or new homemade menu)
4) Bonus menu from the game (included in the uncut version)
- Jango Fett Open Season comic #1 as it is in the game (edit frame by frame when you click next)
- Wizard of the Coast Cards slide show (edit frame by frame when you click next)
- Concept arts (edit frame by frame when you click next)
- Bloopers

That would be really cool if we could keep the game menus and make them clickable on the dvd to browse the different options. They are all available in the un-cut version somewhere.

Other available DVD-Rom Material :
- Gamebooklet
- Official Jango Fett Screen themes
- Covers box and other official game pics from the lucasarts.com website
- Other Jango Fett Official Posters / Promo shots pictures and anything else that I don't think of related to Jango Fett.

I'm pretty good with photoshop if you need help with menu editing or covers, just let me know.

Hi Guys!

This is a little weird, and a bit embarassing I guess. I was playing with the idea of starting a thread asking if anyone had any material for the Bounty Hunter preservation DVD Kaal-Jhyy and I have been discussing, when I saw this thread. We've been tossing ideas back and forth for awhile.

Here's the thread where I first mentioned this. I don't really know when we'll have this completed, but I've been compiling material for it for a long time. I already have 3.2 GB of material for the DVD-ROM portion. Perhaps a little healthy competition between releases could be a good thing?

One difference between what we're doing is that I never recorded any of the footage from the game. I took the actual ".sfd" files from the game disc and converted them to DVD compliant 16X9 anamorphic widescreen mpeg's. It also has surround sound audio. It definitely looks and sounds great, but I really want the menus and interface for the DVD to rock, and I just don't have the skills in that department. That's why I never "released" the DVD I put together of this footage I made for myself. Once the menu system is in place, the DVD will be ready to go.

Glad to see this game get some attention. It's my all time favorite Star Wars game.

Quality wise would be better using his material instead of my dvd-recording sessions. I will let daveytod judge what would be the best. I don't think a dual release is in the benefit of anyone. Time is money. He is done dnloading what I had after a week and half. At least I think some of the menus from the game could be used somehow, I made sure to record them all, they can be extracted easily. I will let you guys deal in that matter. I was happy to at least bring the subject up again.
