Colecovision had better graphics, but Intellivision had more games, if I remember correctly. But I've always been partial to the Atari 2600 myself.

Colecovision always had the better rep in my experience. I liked playing it at my friend's house, but you could only get so many games for it. Hence why I had the Atari 2600 and the 7800... more games. To me, as a kid, quantity was much better than quality. It would have to have been considering what an addict I was for Pong. Only way to explain it.

I was a Pong addict too, which led to many, MANY long battles of the addicting 2600 game 'Warlord'.

Intelevision. I had one. Well, actually my dad bought one, I used to play it since I was born until I got a nintendo, back when I was around 7. It was not only an amazing game console, the whole history behind it is very cool. So my vote goes for INTELEVISION...

Games I had:

Soccer
BurgerTime
Pitfall
Triple Action

and some other games I can't recall right now.

Very cool. I've been interested in them but not techie enough to build one on my own (plus the money). Did you build it yourself or buy it?

EDIT: Referring to the MAME cabinet.

Well an old friend gave me an old tron cabinet, really just a shell. From there I had to clean it out, take off the old beat up side art and other art work, search for nice looking tron parts (ebay). Once I had all the parts I started to look for the PC parts I need, keyboard encoder, monitor, buttons, fans, that stuff. Once I had everything I need it was time to do some wood working, just making sure everything fit right and stuff, configuring the computer and what not. Nothing is really that hard to just very time consuming. Anyways not sure if any of that made sences so here are some very helpful links:

I was always partial to the Atari systems. Coleco's and Intellivision's controllers sucked, and the whole "you can turn your game console into a computer" schtick never did anything for me. I tried playing Buck Rodgers on the Coleco ADAM; what a joke!

I can't belive I'm the only one backing up Intellevision... Why am I always a lonely voice in a multitude of disagreement?

The Vectrex was a fine system. I wish I could've got the 3D headset for it.

Not only I remember it, I've played it. I've played every single nintendo console since the NES.
