(not very exciting, but Kershner's annotated script page is very cool IMO).

Most excellent, thanks a lot.
But yeah, not too exciting, considering. I feel like I've seen most of those photos before, with one or two exceptions. But the script page is very cool; if only I could start to decipher it :)

Probably because they are similar to other set photos taken at the same time. That cover photo is new to me though!
You'd think the new book release would be timed to the actual 30th anniversary next month. I'm itching to know if the original book is incorporated or ignored completely.
Where were you in '77?
They were probably promised the scoop before the release date of the Making of book was moved back to October.
I'll bet you most of the old book is in the new one.

Well, the old one was a personal journal, and only covered the shooting, so I doubt they will have 200 pages of a guys experience on the set. They will probably take the interviews he did, and maybe a couple observations. I would hope they would incorporate his carbon-freezing shooting transcript, but its far too lengthy, if they use any of it they will probably just take a few pages. Which is a bit of a shame, but at least it still makes Arnold's book valuable.
Since John Peecher's Making of Return of the Jedi was far less personal and covered most of the production, I do suspect that most of it will show up in the new ROTJ book, whenever it appears.
It covered some of the post production phase as well.
But I fear if they do use any of it, those pesky things Lucas wish he hadn't said in 1979 will be found nowhere outside of slowly disintegrating 30 year old paperbacks.
I did buy the magazine today, and picked up Star Wars insider as well. It has a few pages of Empire storyboards, and yet another picture of Leia and Chewie making out. ;)

Man, the good old days. Cool picture.
What's our file size limit here? Every time I make a pic and post it, if it's too big, it gets cropped. If you right-click and view image, you can see the full pic I posted. ?
