Any chance for a BD25 of this? Proper disc size is 23.3GB for them. Doesn’t need to have menus, as long as there are multiple audio and subtitle tracks available. As needed, of course.
Not interested in an MKV.

The MKV is 22.3GB. Use tsmuxer to make the Blu-ray.

HELLO, fine humans!
I am beyond happy to find this endeavor. Amadeus is such a wonderful piece of cinema and I’ve felt robbed for years because of the inability to watch the theatrical (OSCAR WINNING) cut.

If some egregiously benevolent and thoroughly awesome human would be so kind as to show me how to view this restoration I would be extraordinarily overjoyed. I’ve been wanting to show this lovely film to my mother in it’s original form for years.

MY BRAIN CAN’T REPEL BULLSHIT OF THAT MAGNITUDE.

May I please get a link? I’m not on myspleen. Thanks!

I can put up my own links, for non-MySpleen users, if jimbotron235 is OK with it. Otherwise, you’re out of luck if you don’t have an account there.

All I get are .SRT files that 105kb. Is there an MKV of this available?

I would also love a link/invite. My daughter very much wants to watch this movie and I’d prefer an HD Theatrical Cut. Happy to give back or contribute in any way I can.

Hello! I’d like to get a link or PM to the theatrical, please!

I hate to be a bother, but any chance I could get a link? I’m planning a study of the film.

I still haven’t received a copy of this =/

Not sure if this thread is still active but if so can somebody PM me a link plse?

The old links are dead. Asking for anything in this thread is no longer helpful. Please go to the stickied MySpleen thread to ask for an invite, you will find this project there.

I know this post is 3 years old, but is this fan-edit still available for download? Rather eager to watch the theatrical cut, I’ve never been able to see it.

NMV see the links are dead now…bummer

It would be awesome if someone would upload this to a public tracker, I don’t think there is any way for any new people to get on Myspleen which is a shame. I’d really love to get this movie in this format. I have the bluray but I really hate that version.

I’m a little bit late to this thread, but I’m more than excited to watch this. Any way I can get it? Thanks in advance!

This is a great reconstruction, job well done. This is the version I grew up with my dad watching at least once a month. I intend to create a Blu-Ray from this using TSMuxer for him as a gift. Also, has anyone done any custom Blu-Ray artwork for this amazing reconstruction?

Would it be possible to get a link to the MKV?

I’m new here, and found this glorious thread after searching to purchase an HD COPY of the theatrical film.

First - thanks for all the effort here. Amadeus is my favorite film, it taught me my love of movies, and of music!

Second - this weekend is my 41 birthday, and we are having people over for Dinner & a Movie.

The movie is Amadeus, because I want to share my love, and the dinner is food inspired and seen in the film (Nipples of Venus!)

But, while I own both the theatrical DVD and DC BluRay, I’d like to show the highest quality version of the original film I can.

Like so many others have noted, the additions just detracts from an Oscar Winning film.

All that to say, I would be so appreciative to showcase the original film, with this amazing groups help.

Thanks in advance!

The torrent can be found on MySpleen, I’d host it elsewhere with jimbotron’s permission but I’m not very knowledgeable on such matters.

So I just attended a screening of Amadeus with a live orchestra at Boston Symphony Hall, which was fucking amazing, of course. Anyway, to my surprise and utter elation, they showed a good-looking DCP of the theatrical cut that appeared to be sourced from the same master as the director’s cut blu-ray. Did it get an official release recently, or do we know if there’s one scheduled? I want to throw money at it if at all possible.

So, how does one go about getting the theatrical cut of this movie?
I’m completely new to this, not sure what Spleen is etc…
