Alien Appendix 8: The Alien Saga Archive (Released)

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Aliens I decided to continue the wonderful Alien Appendix series. I collected enough promos (some vintage but mostly recent) to make a decent extras disc (which can’t be said of the latest blu-ray).

I’m looking for someone to design the artwork and contributors with additional promos from their archives. Since the new documentary THE INSPIRATION AND DESIGN OF ALIENS (29:37) from 30th anniversary blu-ray is available as online extra only (many can’t get it to play and the studio can take it offline whenever they want), I’d like to include it for preservation as well. Having contributed to a few of the past releases I’m glad to see this going.

DVD is almost finished and I’m the only contributor so far. I’ve been able to get the new featurette THE INSPIRATION AND DESIGN OF ALIENS (US only exclusive). I thought 30th anniversary would bring together more fans. If you have anything please share. We need someone to design the cover sleeve too.

I dont have any Aliens stuff but studioADI’s youtube channel has loads of Alien 3, 4 & AVP test footage.

Alien Appendix #8: The Aliens archive is finally released! It turned out to be a solo project, but a decent one - besides a few vintage clips, I managed to get hold of elusive digital only extra - documentary THE INSPIRATION AND DESIGN OF ALIENS!). The project was announced 2 months ago but sadly no one else was involved. A few members got in touch with me but they had no new relevant materials to contribute with. I didn’t want the project linger indefinitely so I wrapped it up. It didn’t seem to be much interest in it anyways, even on 30th anniversary. Sadly Ash595 couldn’t be reached to make yet another great artwork (can someone get in touch with him privately?).

Torrent on MySpleen doesn’t seem to work 😦

What I’d love to see is a disc of just 30th Anniversary bonus material not in the set. That would make a totally awesome disc.

Yes, you should certainly share it under your own name - it’s just a question of being clear where this is coming from.

I am aware that this is quite an old thread, but I was struggling in vain to obtain some supplemental materials for Aliens saga (which I am a huge fan ever since 1982, when I watched Aliens for the first time) and I need your help.
I read a lot about your efforts and the very popular among fans Appendix Archives, which I am not able to find as torrents anywehere on the web.
Can you please kindly direct me to a place where I can download them from? I will highly appreciate that!!

You are quite right! Where I live the first 2 films were available only on very cryptic VHSs till 1990, so forgive me for messing up the releases and the names. And it was more than 30 years ago… so my memory is not so clear 😄
