I’d say that he’s quite good in both. He had more material to work with in The Force Awakens, which puts that above his performance in Return of the Jedi.

I’m harsh with him because he’s so much better in ANH, TESB, Indy 1&2. And his scenes with Fisher in TFA are quite terrible. No chemistry, awful dialogues, and both look so bad in plain light. It’s very shocking when you watch both movies in a row.

I would say some of the acting is actually really bad. Ford had some very awkward movements. Though to his defence, some of the dialogue/situations were just embarrassing to begin with.
His acting in TFA is head and shoulders above the phoned in performance he gave in ROTJ.
For the first time in many many years Ford looked like he actually gives a f*ck about his role. It was very refreshing to see him actually act and not just read memorized lines.

I did not even say Ford’s performance was as bad as Carrie’s. I just said they were both generally bad. There is a gap between them deciding who is worse among the bad. When it comes to Lloyd-Cushing, you have one utterly bad and one exceptionally brilliant performance. So your comparison was stupid.

Probably not but that doesn’t make a lick of sense. If someone is mad that minorities are not represented fairly, enough or in some cases at all how does that make them racist? Wouldn’t a racist person want minorities to be misrepresented and used sparingly in Movies, TV, etc.?
