Absolutely, it's a joke someone on MF made I think. Quite a funny one too. But I have seen it lots of times, so the effect has worn off now. Maybe when Lucas has finally lost it....

I remember the 1st time I saw it at the mf.com and I LMAO - not long after I saw the AICN 'Hayden's head on Shaw's body' shot and thought that it was poorly done fanfake - and was a wind-up.

I think GL should hire the guy who did the JarJar insertion

Actually he's inserting a CG version of Han Solo (for cartoony continuity) on the final cut, Greedo shoots himself for being in this crazy cartoon, Jar-Jar runs around saying PEEEEYOOOOOOOSAAAAA from the stink of greedo's body and lastly Roger Rabbit enters the screen and says," P-P-P-PLEEEEEEEEZZZZEEE Georgie get us out of this cartoon hell!" And the WB frog skips across with "hello my ragtime gallllllllll." and porky says,"bdddittt,bddittt, bddittt dtatsss all folks". Like thats all my patience for this circus that has become Star Wars.

Actually I have been a consultant for Luca$ at Skywalker Ranch. It was my idea to use Jar-Jar incessantly, have Greedo shoot first, Luke scream like a girl, his dad as a kid say whoopie, darth maul to die way to early, to have speeder scenes look retarded like when anakin leaves padme or dooku is being chase by obiwan and anakin, roger-roger robots, Dex, gungans, neimodiams, Nass, more jar-jar, Jabba's tail antics...all those were my ideas and thankfully Luca$ went with all of them. Jimbo and I have been been doing a lot of work on the 2007 Archival edition to make them full cartoons so we can make 7,8,9 in like hours, not pay real actors and have that continuity for all the future edits we do (and there's 100's more edits coming ) and each time we'll make a fortune and make it seem less and less like the original. I promise their will be better sounding noises and brighter looking sabers for those who are brainwashed and ignorant to go oooohh, aaaahhh and forget what the original even was. Sounds and colors people. Enjoy the cartoon saga I have created! Thanks for the chance to make my version Luca$! We'll be rich. And Mark Hamill pisses Luca$ off so we're replacing him with the farting boar from the Lion King, sure it'll be less dramatic and changes the love dynamic a bit, and changes the thing between him and his dad too...but it'll be hilarious and really that's all that matters.

Mark Hamil never pissed Lucas off. That article was fake. Mark has alot of respect for Lucas and likes the prequals. Though he does like the originals more. The scream has been removed. Don't know what the big deal was about that scream anyway. Also what do you have against Dex. I thought he was a cool character. He was nothing like Jar Jar. Also Jar Jar has a purpose.

Jimbo, I have read 10 different interviews and articles about how Mark has been crapped on by Lucas, he didn't get to do a commentary on this box set on Lucas' darling and helpful writer Carrie Fisher. As for Dex, well if you like cartoony characters with their ass hanging out and obnoxious voices' cool than you probably do love Roger Rabbit, because that's what it is to me. The old ones looked more real with costumes, models, and puppets than most of this CGI crap, barring the new Yoda in ATOC most of it is crap, including the new Jabba in the box set. Jar-Jar's purpose??? To piss the world off. Damn, dude. That is not only the most annoying part of star wars but the most annoying character I have ever seen on a movie or TV screen, ever. You may disagree with me, but this is how I feel and I certainly am not alone.

You are right I love Who Frammed Roger Rabbit. Its one of my favorite movies. Loved it as a kid and love it just as much now. Its great on all levels. Really the aliens of the originals are bad mostly. There mouths don't move, there eyes don't blink, They are so oviously guys in masks. Don't say they didn't have the technology to do better because Chewbacca looked fine.

funny that as bad as these looked... Star Wars picked up both a Visual Effects Oscar as well as a Costume design Oscar...

as for Episode 1 - not only did it lose in both of those categories to the matrix... but it didnt win any academy awards that year...
as for Episode 2 - it lost in visual effects to The Two Towers and lost costume design to Chicago...

so as much as you want to believe that those effects looked bad... they have indeed been honoured unlike those of the prequel trilogy...

Sean you got to be the king of 3 word posts. LOL. I am not sure what that means, exactly, but fake is not better in terms of poorly executed CGI. And like Luke said the matrix and LOTR were certainly much better (I, Robot too). Some of the CG in EP I and II is inexcusable from a man that has more money at his disposal than God and has Skywalker Sound and ILM. Even the new Jabba inserted in the box set looks silly. Gollum is much better than even the highly touted Yoda CG. Episode I is worse than II, looking fully cartoony in parts. I preferred the models and costumes, it was real, just scaled down. Poorly executed CG gives us movies like the Hulk, and I'll pass. Done well, it can look good, done ok...it just ruins a movie for me.

First of all. Who gives a shit what awards it won. The opinion of the acadmy judges isn't anymore valueble then you or mine. In my opinion Attack of the Clones had much better effects then The Two Towers. The Two Towers used mostly live action sets. Attack of the Clones digitaled everything.

the academy knows a lot more than you do i can tell you that...
the fact of the matter is... the PT hasnt been recognized for any of its effects while the OT has been...

Thats like giveing Dumb and Dumber best Special effects. Everything is real and live action. The award should go to best use of digital effects. Attack of the Clones uses digital effects everywhere even when its not needed. This is deserving of award.
