 (Edited)

A while ago I asked about the uncut version of ANOES 5 uncut and it brought up the Special Edition Laserdisc release that features deleted scenes, outtakes etc not released on DVD. Has anyone put either of these on DVD yet? If so I’d love to get a copy.

You should always continue the same discussion. Do a search for the thread so you don't keep creating threads.

But in any case, I picked mine up over the vacation and will be transferring all unavailable extras whenever I get a chance. It's not a high priority but it will be done.

Im thinking about working on this... I don't have a lot of time but I've got a copy of the bonus VHS that came with the OOP elite 2 tape pack which contains deleted scenes, trailers etc. that a friend copied me many yeatrs ago... Also somewhere I've got a copy of a precert of nightmare 1 thats uncut and containts that normally cut extra splash as she hits the bed and some other stuff... also got a few mp3s that I could include as DVDrom stuff... I think it'd be a Duel Layer.. Has anyone got anything that could be added to DVDrom stuff? And If someone could up to sendspace or similar a HIres version of the Elm street on laserdisc cover (The one thats basically green and red stripes like freddys jumper) that'd be awsome....

Like I said, It all depends if I can get the time for this.. I've got other stuff in mind also like the Return of the Living Dead workprint... So Im not making any promises....

Like I said...i have the laserdisc. The VHS would certainly be worse quality.

evilmouse:
Digitalfreak has the LD set as he's said, but I think he mentioned that because it includes all the deleted scenes and such. I wasn't aware of any version having that extra splash of blood. I don't even think the LD includes it and if that's the case then a transfer of the pre-cert VHS would be cool and maybe clip that scene out and include it with the LD extras if a supplemental disc is to be made.

I have a case of nostalgia for the washed out, fuzzy VHS quality I used to associate with this film so I’d love to the pre-cert transferred anyway! The DVD was so glossy it nearly seemed like a different film when I watched it.

I have the following, all originals in perfect condition:
all NOES:
DVD Nightmare Box set RC1, all movies plus bonus disc
GB VHS SET NOES 1-3 BBFC 18

NOES 1:
DVD german bootleg, unrated
Elite Special Edition 2 LD Set
Elite Special Edition 2 VHS Set

NOES 5:
Special Edition LD Set, unrated

For NOES 1 unrated:
All the bootleg DVDs are rather poor quality. Most of the time they are old rated versions with the unrated scenes cut in. So don't expect too much from them...
The Elite LD Set has more bonus stuff than the VHS Set, quality is great and there's a really a lot of stuff on them.

For NOES 5 unrated
As far as I know all unrated versions are fullscreen like the unrated LD.

I have good DVD-5 transfers of all of them, if I can be of any help, let me know

I want to get rid of my SE laserdisc.

Can anyone detail what hasn't been transferred over to the DVD editions yet?

Digging up this thread...

Did anything ever happen with this? I have the Elite 2 disc LD and I'm considering getting my computer up to speed to be able to convert the supplementary stuff to DVD, but if someone else is already working on it...

Far as I can tell, the audio commentary from this disc is one of the extra commentary tracks on the Infinifilm DVD. Beyond that, the whole second LD needs to be preserved.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

I converted all the extras (sans the still images) from the laserdisc to DVD a coupla years ago. They exist as a single 2.2 gig MPEG2 file on my PC. If somone wanted to make a disc or something out of it, I'd be happy to pass it along. Just PM me.
