hey Gundark when talking about highschool grades dont you mean 9-12?
unless i just did a year of highschool for nothing..

He was talking about ages. 14-18 years is typically the age of a highschooler in America.

Where I live, school is divided.

ElementeryKindergarden-5 (about 5 to eleven years old)
Middle 6-8 (eleven to thirteen)
Highschool (13 or 14-18 or 19; if you take summerschool highschool can be completed in 3 years)

Collgege/University doesn't have age restrictions. My 50+ year old aunt went to college a few years ago.

Ric, in the US we go from mid august to mid december, then from early january until the end of may, a total of circa180 days.

And it isn't tests that I find most stressful. It seems some teachers don't want to belive kids have a life outside their classes, and they'll load you down with homework and expect you to have it done. Unless you have a disfiguring injury or something like that.





But the worst part is watching her grow more beautiful for three years and knowing I am nothing more than a high-school aquaintance to her, and fearing that that is all I'll ever be.

Oh ok thanks. And why does a schoolyear in the US starts at the middle of a year, and ends at the middle of the following year? Isn't that weird?

It depends from place to place. In our district, we began August 19th, and we end June 9th.

I'm not sure of the logic behind it, but our summer starts in June and ends in September. So when we get out for "Summer Vacation", We get out during our summer. Why summer? I think it has something to do with the heat. Summer was too unbearable in many parts of the country until the invention of Air Conditioners.

School around her used to go September to June, but they gradually moved it forward to August-May. I couldn't tell you why, though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the whole summer thing. And it would be too much of a break in the middle of a schoolyear, that makes sense.

I hate that it took until 2004 for Star Wars DVDs to even come-out.

And I hate Jedi Rocks. Can't forget that. Dumbest SE change period.

Worse than JarJar by far....

I believe he means he hates the SE OT and the 2004 DVD OT not the O OT. If he actual did hate the O OT then I too would have to wonder why he is here.

I hate people who think that having Haydn at the end of Jedi is a great idea.

Actually, I dont hate the people, they are just silly. I hate the mentality.

But the sticker on the box of the DVD set says, "the classic films." Are you saying that this isnt accurate?!?!
