Sorry old bean, I wasn't paying full attention and missed the request.
There were quite a few background female characters in ESB that weren't strippers or housewives (another reason to love ESB).
You had the highish profile female Ion Control officer (who even gets a line) and the SE added a few more Bespinian members of 'the other gender'.
What would really lift Revisited would be to have some women of action.
Pink 5 may have been meant as a joke but there was something refreshing about having a female pilot inserted into the main battle of ANH (we get one in TPM and she's not just a young bit of eye candy either, I wish Celia Imrie played a major character and not just a bit part).
Having some women in on the battlefield and not working away in the relative safety of the command centre would be a plus.
A female Bespin Guard or two would might also make the film's male to female ratio a bit more representative.
Maybe giving the silver protocol droid on Bespin a female voice to insult Threepio is a step too far but I don't know (TPM established that the same model can have male or female personalities and I'm not that attached to the sound that comes out of that droid's speakers).
There isn't much wiggle space in ESB for female roles of much prominence but it might be possible to have a number of near substantial female characters inserted into ROTJ:R.
Pilots for one thing at least one was filmed for ROTJ but never made the final battle :
Also the assault team, female characters on Jabba's palace and barge with guns or melee weapons, that sort of thing.
At least one of Palpatine's spooky friends could be a female too.
PT:R has quite a few female characters in the background but they tend not to speak much and the men have almost all the significant dialogue (other than Padme).
I was never sure if Zam really was a woman or just looked like one when in human form.
The deleted family scenes in AOTC played to female stereotypes (teasing about boyfriends, serving dinner) and looked very unStar Warsy (more like something out of The Princess Bride).
Re-filming some of the female Jedi and giving them some lines and adding a few sensible female Separatists would be great but saving Nat Portman's performance would be the biggest challenge there.
Putting Mon Mothma back into ROTS would be a good move.
One of the few things I liked about the PT is that someone pointed out to George that women also come in more than one skin colour and if any women can be added to the Revisited projects that and age variance would be well worth considering.
