Vermintide II: Bash hundreds of rats with a hammer in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Enough said.

The Crew: Trying to get all the unlocks for the second game which comes out soon. Drive a car not only on a track but all across a stylized United States. It’s fun.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

Is there a Video game that has the look and atmosphere of a B Movie. Like the films Plan 9 from Outer Space
And Forbidden Planet, And other Sci-fi - Horror Movies from the 50s

Playing the Mega Man X series. Man does it take a nosedive. The first three are awesome. Then the fourth one is awesome except the voice acting is awful, which isn’t a game breaker but it’s the first signs of cracks in the series. Then I played a modified x5 that removes interruptions from the navigator. (Why tf would a mega man game even need a navigator). It was less awesome but still very fun. Then X6 sucks a horse ball. It’s just so obviously rushed and half finished. It’s buggy, the level design is hideous and tedious like it tries as hard as possible to keep you from having fun. The bosses suck and are either push overs in most cases or impossibly infuriating. It’s just awful and it isn’t fun. No way was it play tested. It’s hard for all the wrong reasons, bad camera, shitty controls etc. A shame because it could have been good if they had finished it properly. Zeros control schemes and attack combos are fun but I hardly use them because the game is so ridiculous I find myself just using xs ultimate armor and nova striking my way through everything just to get it over with. The soundtrack is fantastic as always.

X7 is just as bad. It’s less infuriating but just as annoying. I find myself dyinh because of the camera more than anything. Playing as zero is fun though. But the story is so stupid. When did X go from being a bad ass warrior who said little but blasted alot into a whiny little tweet who only wants to bitch about how much he fights and how violent things are. Doesn’t he know he’s in a mega man game? And the voices are terrible. Just awful. I would just stop at x5. It’s ending works as an ending and it was meant to be the ending, but then there’s the monkey wrench of x8 being good again. Decent voices that actually fit the characters for the first time and actually portray them how I always imagined. Xs character is back, he still has reservations about fighting but he’s far less annoying about it. The game is actually good. Curse my inability to mentally cope with just skipping from 5 to 8.

There’s THE DEADLY TOWER OF MONSTERS the premise of which is the game is actually a 1950s Sci-Fi film and the director is recording the commentary track as you play. I own it but haven’t given it a go yet.

There was I WAS AN ATOMIC MUTANT a budget title from 2003, that had an amazing soundtrack…and that was pretty much it.

And finally there are the classics ROCKET RANGER and IT CAME FROM THE DESERT from Cinemaware.

Finished x7. That game was awful. Next time I’m just going to take the mental anguish and skip from 5 to 8.

I haven’t been able to beat any of the 2D Zeldas. I suppose that’s because the 3D Zeldas are a lot more linear, so I can just breeze through them without having to think too much.

I’ve tried to make Marcello Mastroianni in The Sims 4, and I’ve been trying to for weeks. I’m never satisfied. How is this?

I played the 2D Zeldas when they were newly published. Back then, Nintendo Power magazine was a thing people used to have. So strategy guides and hints and stuff weren’t hard to come by. Plus, I’d been known to call the Nintendo Power Hotline now and then. I still remember the phone number.

It’s not cheating to use a walkthrough or guide for a game—especially a nonlinear one, or if you intend to 100% it.

Indeed, I had to use one to finish OOT, and a little bit for WW, but I was able to finish the others without referencing anything. This might sound like sacrilege, but I’ve never really had a good knack for 2D games in general. I mean, I can play them fine, but I’ve never been driven to finish any.

I beat OOT and MM without walkthroughs, but those were the 3DS remakes, so I wouldn’t be surprised if those were simplified.

I don’t know about oot but mm was only very slightly simplified from what I’ve read. But that’s the beauty of how well crafted both those games are. They are smart and puzzling yet in a way that you can figure it out using the old noodle yourself and it’s never so cryptic you have to just find the answer online.
