I loved BeastMaster. Marc Singer was cool as hell. And he walked away with Tanya Roberts. Lucky bastard.

BeastMaster: one of the many films of director Don Coscarelli, including the Phantasm series and Bubba Ho-Tep, which I got to see on the weekend. Such a fun movie.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Yes it was. Complete camp and I loved it. Even the series wasn't that terrible. Doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't really try to improve on the quality of the movie which makes it work.

Beastmaster is great fun, for me its right up there with Conan the Destroyer and seems to get funnier every time I see it, although it hasn't been on in a while. Never saw the TV series though, was Singer in it? His work in the two V mini-series remains my favourite though.

Singer was not in it except, for some reason, I think he cameo'd in an episode. Could be wrong.

Yes, I also love V. He was also in a pretty good drama from the early 80s called If You Could See What I Hear where he plays a blind man. It's based on a true story as I recall and he was pretty decent in it. Although it has been a long friggin' time since I've seen it.

Yeah, Masters of the Universe kinda sucked, but in that deliriously watchable 50 car pile-up kind of way. so much talent and non-talent, both utterly wasted.

True enough, but watching Frank Langella and Meg Foster slum it as villains was entertaining in its own right.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Yeah, Langella was pretty decent as Skeletor.

To be a loser, don't you first have to be nominated? I don't see Lundgren ever being nominated for anything.

I think he might have been nominated for a couple of Razzies.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Author
Time
Really? Have the razzies been around long enough to harken back to a day when Lundgren actually had a theatrically released film?

The razzies have been around since 1980 and are apparently celebrating their 25th anniversary. It doesn't look like Dolph's won any yet, but like Gundarkhunter said I'm sure he's been nominated for some, like maybe the Punisher or Universal Soldier.
