What a banal argument we’re having. Only a matter of time until the middle finger pic, or at least the threatening of it.

I am just sick of people going “white privilege” as if it the answer to racial debates. Its ridiculous.

It’s not an answer to racial debates, it just describes behaviors that many people exhibit.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

What are the two wrongs? What’s being made into a right here?

well, do I get decide to define color blind, as treating people equally without regard to the color of their skin? Nope.

Do I get to decide that thug doesn’t mean anything racially? nope.

Do I get to decide that a white homeless guy isn’t privileged? nope.

But black people can decide the opposite. That seems to be the way thing work.

White privilege.

I guess the only way to fix this is to give the NAACP all the rights to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and then they can “correct” all the definition of words therein.

Also not how anything works.

It sure seems like certain black people think only black people can define what words mean.

Holy shit dude.

take white privilege and shove it up your ass

I am honestly sick and tired of this shit from you. It seems to be your “go to” for everything in these racial discussions.

It’s only my go to because you keep displaying it.

Why do you care so much that you aren’t allowed to say certain words because you’re white? Because you’re white, you can’t say the n-word. Meanwhile, because other people are black, they can’t assume they won’t get pulled over by the police because they are black. That’s the very definition of white privilege. The worst thing you have to deal with because you are white is not getting to decide what “thug” means. Get over it.

I don’t get it.

Author

Those are examples of when Frink tries to justify a wrong by bringing up white privilege and wrongs done to black people.

Author
Time

Is that making a right though?

Author

I need to clear my head and start fresh tomorrow.

Ok.

Not getting to define “thug” is not a wrong.

saying one race can and one race can’t, is a wrong.

Now, I am going to bed.

This debate is maddening!

I like how Warb thinks going to bed and clearing his head will help, given that he’s never understood this over the months and years we’ve been talking about it.

Author
Time

I never said going to bed and clearing my head would suddenly change my opinions.

Author
Time

Changing your opinions is the only thing that will help.

I will say this:

probably people getting stopped by cops due to race happens more often than I realize. But probably lest often than people on the other side care to admit. Do you think it never happens that a minor is stopped by cop and thinks it is because of the color of his skin when in reality it is due to something else(like violating the law)?

I still resent and am offended by Frink’s treatment of me and attitude towards me due to my skin color. It is not right. It also won’t help minorities.

I think it is ridiculous that I get flak for daring to state an opinion while white. It is probably also one of those logical fallacies. I pretty sure refuting an argument by attacking the skin color of the opinion holder, is not logical valid.

One time is too many.

I agree. One time is too many.

You think I like that it occurs? I don’t, I hate it.

You place too much faith in the police system. Some police officers will often over-eseclate a situation for a minor violation. Sometimes “looking suspicious” (such as wearing a hoodie) could be reason for a police officer to stop you.

I still resent and am offended by Frink’s treatment of me and attitude towards me due to my skin color. It is not right.

Yes, and black people used to get lynched.

It also won’t help minorities.

You don’t get flak just because you are white. You get flak because your opinions are wrong.

some place too little. They act like it is run by the KKK.

Some police officers will often over-eseclate a situation for a minor violation.

It might happen. And I agree once is too many. But certainly not all officers are like that. We also have to consider that sometimes they may have good reasons to take actions we don’t understand, because we don’t have their training and experience.

Sometimes “looking suspicious” (such as wearing a hoodie) could be reason for a police officer to stop you.

There might be circumstances where it is the right thing to do. Sometimes people might be wearing hoodies to conceal their identity.

I still resent and am offended by Frink’s treatment of me and attitude towards me due to my skin color. It is not right.

two wrongs don’t make a right. (to be clear, I am not saying that what Frink is doing is in any way as bad as lynching someone)

It also won’t help minorities.

How about you quote me a source where it says treating me like shit and giving my attitude is going to help minorities.

No, I get flak for being white. Do you think Frink would give me the same flak if I were black and still held the same exact opinions? You know he wouldn’t.

A lot of them do, regardless of race. They like to jump people and bring them down hard even if the offense was non-violent. I have no faith in their training or experience. That said, cops tend to depend on the department. Certain cities have great cops while others are notoriously horrible, like Detroit, New Orleans, or Los Angeles. The police department in the city I’m in now is wonderful, while the cops in the nearest neighboring city are horrible.

A lot? the majority?

I have no faith in their training or experience.

maybe not, nonetheless we have no training or experience. We need to keep that in mind when we judge things. That is one of the reasons I like to get Ferris’s take on things when it involves cops doing things that may or may not be legit.

That said, cops tend to depend on the department.

You whether they are good or bad cops depends on the department they are from? I could agree with that. Some police departments are better than others.

and I agree, the bad ones need fixing.

Jerrod Kuhn, Nazi from Honeoye Falls, New York, has denied he’s a Nazi. His account on a Nazi website was a wacky lark, you see, and the torch he was holding was just a much less fussy light source than a flashlight. The “Jews won’t replace us” chant, er, that was, um… OK, maybe he’s a Nazi after all.

Maybe I’ve watched too many Indiana Jones movies, but didn’t these guys used to be a little less delicate?

ah, so that is why the bullsh** detectors went off. (just to make clear, I mean that Jerrod Kuhn set them off, not Catbus)
