forget a remake of the original trilogy how about a remake of the prequels to fix the flaws and make them fit with the clones wars,rebels and the original trilogy.

Won’t happen. Disney/LucasFilm is intent on moving forward with the franchise and do the Anthology films.
More likely is that they take a break from the Saga films after nine and do a run of Anthologies . I wouldn’t be adverse to them doing a trilogy set during the Old Republic and make some of those concepts cannon like they’re doing with Thrawn in Rebels.
The Star Wars universe is vast and it just doesn’t make sense to reboot the Skywalker saga with so many other stories to be told.

Funny, that the list of remakes on the WIKI, mentions the Abbot & Costello Meet the Invisible Man. When it’s really a comedy/parody of the original Universal Monster movie. That’s sorta like saying Spaceballs, is a remake of Star Wars.
There is one reason they will remake the OT…
Darth Vader.
Way too good of villain and drives the movies. Eventually they will run out of stories to tell that do not relate to him and then we will see the “reboot”
Hope that will never happen…if it does, like Porkins suggested, it will be a ridiculous shame. No one can replace Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher or Mark Hamill. Most of all, nobody and I mean NOBODY has the understanding that the Lucas/Gary Kurtz duo had in Disney. Kathleen Kennedy is as shallow in her replies about Star Wars as JJ Abrams. They just don’t get it.
I’m sure Rian Johnson has something to say about that. I hope that not only does he get the source material but he evolves certain things that have been established. That’s why I’m hoping “Jedi” in “The Last Jedi” is plural.

I really hope you’re right…although I think Disney took the ‘going back to the source material’ a little too far with Rebels at least. So they went back to the original concept art and that’s why the lightsabers are so thin? I mean come on, those things were changed and they were changed for a reason. Same like the first draft of ANH, several things were discarded for a reason

Normally I would say Rebels could get away with that because it’s a cartoon but TCW doesn’t have the same lightsabers so it doesn’t even mesh with that show. I think the whole visual style should be overhauled though because the show just looks terrible in general.
Rebels and Clone Wars look nothing alike, so having the same lightsabers isn’t even a big issue.
Personally, I like the visual styling of Rebels much more than TCW.

I guess I’m talking about both, really. The older one looks worse though. I try not to think about it because it was so bad, though.

The 03 CW is probably the best looking of all the SW animated shows, oddly. All the others just look too cheap.
